De afgelopen jaren merken we bij Hungry Eye Gallery dat we steeds vaker een stap verder gaan dan alleen het correct ophangen van werk uit onze collectie. Klanten vragen ons mee te denken over de totale look & feel van hun huis: welke fotografie past bij de stijl van de ruimte, bij het licht, bij de andere kunst en objecten die er al staan en vooral, bij de persoonlijke smaak van de bewoners.

Die dienst noemen we vanaf nu ART DESIGN, en de rol die daarbij hoort is die van art designer: iemand die niet alleen kunst verkoopt, maar advies en suggesties geeft die zijn toegesneden op het huis en de mensen die erin wonen.

In de praktijk werkt dat zo: we meten de wanden op, fotograferen de ruimte, en presenteren vervolgens op schaal verschillende mogelijkheden, zodat je vooraf al ziet hoe een werk zich verhoudt tot de wand, het licht en de rest van het interieur, nog voordat er iets wordt opgehangen.

Alle suggesties blijven binnen de stijl en smaak die bij het huis en de bewoners past.

From now on, we’re calling this service ART DESIGN, and the role that goes with it is that of an art designer: someone who doesn’t just sell art, but offers advice and suggestions tailored to the home and the people who live there.

In practice, this is how it works: we measure the walls, photograph the space, and then present various options to scale, so that you can see in advance how a piece relates to the wall, the light and the rest of the interior, even before anything is hung.

All suggestions remain in keeping with the style and taste that suit the home and its residents.
